Arkhangai is an aimag (province) right in the middle of Mongolia, just a few hundred kilometers from the capital city of Ulaanbaatar (also spelled Ulan Bator). It has all of the features of the entire country, in one location. You can do everything from horse-riding to fishing to visiting during the holidays/festivals, all while staying in the traditional housing (gers) or staying in more modern guesthouses, hotels, or resorts.
